End of the Adventure - for now...



There is little doubt that as we crossed the Canadian border from Vermont and headed into into "the Great White North" we felt some sadness. Our forty two day adventure had seen us............................................................. 


  • Travel 14491km (9004 miles) by CuRVy, subway, cab, ferry, paddlewheeler, canoe and boat
  • Drive the length of the Mississippi  
  • Experience Southern hospitality
  • Travel to the most southerly point of continental USA
  • Listen to fabulous music
    • New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
    • Memphis in May
    • Grand Ole Opry
    • Southern Folklore Centre (Memphis)
    • Blue Ridge Music Centre
    • Kennedy Centre (Washington DC)
  • Attend 2 Broadway and one Boston musicals
    • Phantom of the Opera
    • Memphis
    • Woody Sez
  • Have chance meetings with wonderful people
  • Experience NYC 
    • Subway, driving and Cabs
    • Baseball on Memorial Day
    • Museums
    • Central Park 
    • The lights of Broadway
  • Try new food of all types
    • Gumbo
    • Boiled Peanuts
    • Grits
    • Catfish
    • Beignets
    • Po Boys
    • Gator
    • Mussels

  1. What a fabulous adventure. You two were obviously explorers and pioneers in some previous life. You both look wonderful, too! Loved the idea of snapping the GPS.
